The Polis and the Pulpit Lecture Series is dedicated to exploring the intersection of Christian faith with the public square. Rooted in conviction that Christ speaks to all of life, this ministry creates space for thoughtful dialogue across the domains of culture, science, philosophy, and theology.

Drawing on the rich heritage of Christian intellectual tradition, the ministry invites speakers, scholars, and practitioners to address the important questions of our time - questions of meaning, morality, human identity, and the common good. Whether confronting cultural shifts, scientific developments, or philosophical challenges, The Polis and the Pulpit encourages deep thinking that is both theologically grounded and publicly engaging.

This month Dr. John Wilsey will be with us to share his wisdom on the topic of American Exceptionalism, US and Christian History. Dr. John Wilsey is a Professor of Church History and Philosophy and Chair of the Department of Church History and Historical Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Wilsey’s research specialization is in the History of American Religious Nationalism, and American Conservatism.
